A thread on why you should never back trains from “tipsters” such as @AndyRobsonTips and @TheBadManTips.
These tipsters often create train bets, where they will start with a relatively small amount of money, often £10 and “attempt” to reach a large amount of money, often in the range of £100-£500.

Stake for the next bet will be the amount you have won from the previous bet.
An example of this format can be seen from @AndyRobsonTips train on Saturday, starting at £10. The tweet is below.
As you can see in the tweet he has a link to the bet which is what you’d expect.

These links will load you to the betting site that the tipster chooses to do his train on, with the bet being put into your bet slip.
By using these links and placing bets with these tipsters, if the bet losses, you lose money but the tipsters will get commission from your losses

This is because these tipsters are affiliates to betting companies. Betting companies use these tipsters to spread bets about and then will pay the tipsters around 30% of the money they earn from your losing bets. This is explained by @SmSportstrader
So with these trains, if they lost on bet one, you would lose £10, and the tipsters would earn £3. However, let’s say the goal of the train is £200 and at bet 5 the accumulated total of the train is £100, the tipster will often “attempt”go from £100 -> £200 with bet 5...
At this point it is in the best interest of the tipster to lose this bet. If the bet wins this means that they will earn £0 in commission from every punter who bets on the train but if it loses they would earn £30, and with these tipsters having thousands of followers will...
Add up to a very large total of money that the tipsters bring home. They will then claim how close they got to the total and tell users how they only lost £10, with many not realising that the tipsters made £30 off them.

So that they earn a lot more (in the example £3 per punter compared to £30) and also look better at giving reliable tips for their bets as they would’ve won 4 previous bets before the losing one.
