By unanimous consent of the board of Baylor Young Americans for Freedom, we hereby disassociate ourselves with Young Americans for Freedom and will now be known as the Baylor Bull Moose Society. (1/12)
When this chapter began, it was intended to be a place where conservatives could learn about and express ideas that served to further the common good of the American people. (2/12)
In light of recent acts of aggression against our chapter, it has become clear they YAF has no tolerance for conservatives concerned with the furtherance of the common good. (3/12)
Our goal is to promote conservative ideas which aid the American worker, preserve and promote the American family, uplift the poor and downtrodden, and ensure that Americans of traditional Christian faith can freely serve God. (4/12)
We have no interest in promoting a corporatist conservatism which is chiefly concerned with protecting the interests of wealthy progressives intent on destroying this sacred American way of life. (5/12)
In this period of unprecedented agglomeration of corporate power, YAF has decided to advocate for the protection of said power & profits to the detriment of working Americans & the common good of our polity. Any conservative who dares to object is attacked and ostracized. (6/12)
The future does not belong to those who cling to the dead consensus. We will not return to free trade absolutism, unrestricted immigration, & endless foreign wars. We will not return to a corporatist conservatism which openly disdains those it relies on for power. (7/12)
The future belongs to those conservatives who understand that the chief aim of our movement ought to be the preservation and promotion of the liberty and welfare of everyday Americans. (8/12)
We do not despise markets. It is merely our aim to preserve the God-given rights of the American people against monopolistic encroachments against their dignity and liberty. (9/12)
As President Theodore Roosevelt said, “Our aim is not to do away with corporations...we are merely determined that they shall be so handled as to subserve the public good. We draw the line against misconduct, not against wealth.” (10/12)
We wish the like-minded patriots in other YAF chapters across the country the best of luck in working to change the culture of YAF from the ground up to fight for these values. (11/12)
If that endeavor fails, I encourage like-minded chapters to follow our lead, disassociate, and become independent organizations. Perhaps then YAF will realize that young Americans have no interest in preserving the dead consensus. (12/12)
