1/ Today's Ontario gov't declaration of a province-wide state of emergency & stay at home orders underlines the severity + danger of current growth in #COVID19 cases. While necessary, these steps increase risks to people already marginalized in the pandemic. #ONpoli #ONhealth

2/ We remain concerned about enforcement related to restrictions. Fines, arrests, policing, etc. exacerbate inequities & racism. Without adequate guidance for enforcement officers, this approach risks making things worse for people + communities most impacted by #COVID19 #ONpoli

3/ Equitable messages & accessible supports are needed across Ontario. We're calling on the gov't to expand its COVID-19 Priority Communities strategy, starting with Paid Sick Days for ALL workers. This will enable ALL workers + employers to follow public health guidance #ONpoli

4/ It's true: we all have roles to play in keeping each other safe and supporting our health providers during COVID-19. And that includes the bold leadership we need from provincial leaders to support EVERYONE in Ontario to stay safe and slow the spread of COVID-19. #ONpoli
