Korean men are so pathetic
Attacking bg fans online for writing fanfics about their idols and saying that writing/reading gay fanfics is the same thing as nth room
Them putting things like gay fan fiction on the same level as legitimate sex crimes committed by Korean men is just..
As if all fanfics contain only sexual content & only bg fans write fanfics.
Where were they when actual gg members were victims of upskirt fancams, spycams, and deep fake porn?
They were probably watching, not giving a shit about “the human rights of idols”
Korean men will do literally anything that doesn’t cost money to mess with women.
Like invading private katalk rooms that shippers use (which have difficult passwords related to said ship) and mass tweeting hashtags like bts deepfake to make female fandom culture look really bad
Rapper simba? is the one who started all of this bc he thought people were writing fanfics about him when really it was about an idol with the same name.
Him and another rapper owen? are making a big deal out of this and since media only listens to men, it’s getting on the news
Of course there are fans who cross the line and if these idols don’t want to be consumed in that way, fans should stop.
But there’s a reason why companies leave this shit alone
This type of subculture within fandoms ultimately makes money for these companies and idols.
That’s why companies pair certain members together for lives and stuff and that’s why some idols themselves participate by doing 비게퍼 which means they’re queerbaiting
I'm sure there are idols who hate this shit and just keep quiet bc their company told them to but many 1st and 2nd gen bgs were super open about this (mentioning that they've read some fanfics and referring to their ship names multiple times)
They know it's mostly harmless and it's ultimately good for their brand so they leave it alone and let the fans have fun
It's not like fanfics are new. Fanfic culture and shipping culture has been around for a long long time and it's not some kind of dark web subculture.
Sung Siwon writes fanfics in Reply 1997 (a hit drama), there's a ep of Infinite Challenge (a hit variety show) where-
they invite one of the writers of the show who used to write fanfics about them and actually read the fanfics (lmao)
What were they doing then?

They’re only now making a big deal out of this because recently women have been calling them out on these serious sex crimes (like nth room, son jungwoo, deep fake, spy cams, etc) as if this even compares.
It took forever to get the media to pay attention to nth room but a no name rapper “calls out” fanfic culture and it gets articles and even appears on tv news....
That’s what makes me so mad.
