If you're new to twitter, or returning to it for the first time in a long time, you'll be happiest if you surround yourself with other newcomers.

Over the past 6 months, I've met a lot of amazing people on this platform. Here's where I found them hanging out.

🧵👇 mini-thread
1/ Marketing Twitter

You're not going to have a hard time finding marketing people on twitter. @mkobach and @AmandaMGoetz are fantastic educators, but they're busy building businesses these days.

My advice, check out @brianne2k. Don't miss #PopChat. It's a group of A+ humans!
2/ Writing Twitter

These people hang out around @david_perell, @julian and @nateliason, but there's also micro-communities like @dickiebush #ship30for30, @WritersBlocHQ and @CompoundWriting.

Spend time in the comment sections of the best and consider joining a micro-community.
3/ Indie Hacking Twitter

If you're an indie hacker, you're probably already following these two people.

@csallen is doing A+ work at @IndieHackers and @thisiskp_ is building something new at @beondeck.

Being an indie hacker is a lifestyle; find others and grow together.
4/ Design Twitter

@jackbutcher has a remarkable community at @visualizevalue, and it's not just for designers.

While you're there, you might meet creatives like @craigburgess of @daily__visual.

If you spend enough time around these circles, you're guaranteed to meet A+ people.
You can follow @jamierusso.
