I am sorry to see @Andric1961 keeps pushing the idea of "two schools under one roof" as something progressive.

Segregated schools should not exist not because we "speak the same language", but because ethnic segregation violates human rights.

The segregation that exists in “two schools under one roof” is a violation of domestic and international legislation.

In 2014, the FBiH Supreme Court has found the practice of two schools under one roof in Stolac and Čapljina as discriminatory. 2/

The “two schools under one roof” framework, made to put borders into students’ minds, has undoubtedly had a strong influence on me and my friends who attended these "brainwashing institutions".

Currently, there are 56 segregated schools that operate across 3 cantons in FBiH.

In RS, there are no segregated schools for a simple reason: the Serb nationalist SNSD has a total control over the edu system that discriminates Bosniaks and Croats.

Instead of promoting the idea of segregated schools, we should find a way to eliminate discrimination across BiH.

Even though it was envisaged as a temporary measure to address the post-war ethno-centric edu system and encourage the return of refugees and displaced persons, the nationalist political elites kept the "two schools under one roof" as a blueprint for segregating more schools. 5/

In 2007, when the edu minister of Central Bosnia Canton, Greta Kuna (HDZ) rejected the idea of Croat and Bosniak pupils attending classes in shared classrooms by saying "You can't mix apples and pears", students who attended the “two schools under one roof” did not object. 6/

A decade after minister Kuna’s statement, in 2017, students from Jajce stood up and publicly condemned the decision of of forming a new segregated school, rejecting the view of politicians and demanding the right to continue studying together. 7/
