The entire Barcelona presidential elections have been nothing short of catastrophic and a complete disgrace.

The club has hit rock bottom and it is no wonder that its elections have been every bit as bad as we could’ve imagined.

Bartomeu delayed his removal from office for months using all kinds of underhanded and questionable methods in the process. He only resigned because time had ran out and he had made enough moves in that time frame to hide his tracks.

Tusquets was strategically appointed as head of the managing committee. He’s the same kind of person as Rosell and Bartomeu, who use Barcelona for their own gain rather than prioritise what’s best for it. He doesn’t care about the fans, democracy or any kind of fairness.

Elections should’ve been called IMMEDIATELY after Tusquets took over, but instead what we saw was inevitable: stretching out things to the limit counting on the pandemic to throw a wrench in the electoral process and keep in power way beyond January 24th.

Many pseudo-candidates for the Barcelona presidency have done nothing but humiliate and turn the entire electoral process into mockery. Farré giving away pizzas for signatures was the kind of thing that should immediately remove his membership from Barcelona, it’s inadmissible.

A few Barcelona pre-candidates used the Barcelona electoral process as a publicity stunt, it’s unforgivable. The next president has to toughen up and update the laws of the club, this cannot be allowed to happen again.

We had strong claims from Barcelona members that a pre-candidate was trying to buy signatures to enable him to run for president, a scandal, and I’d rather avoid getting one more lawsuit threat in my email inbox. People on my replies can say freely who it is.
