Y’ALL. Had another encounter with an off leash dog today. I was walking dog reactive dog siblings. I saw the off leash dog and owner in the distance in front of me and called out “can you please leash your dog?” While the dogs I was walking started becoming agitated.
The owner called back with “he won’t touch them” the off leash dog kept getting closer with the owners a few yard behind. I called out “these dogs are not friendly!!” While dragging them and myself as far off the trail as I could, into the bushes.
Again the off leash owner said “he won’t touch them!” As the owners passed their off leash dog lingered right in front of me and my two clients and kept inching closer until I had to call out again (they were now past a few yards) “please call out to your dog!!!”
I couldn’t have a conversation or really address it because of the dogs I was walking, but I did call back “your dog should be on a leash, off leash on this trail is illegal” and the owners laughed at me. I’m beyond rotted.
