When I think about Christianity, from the perspective of its missionaries, vast influence, and colonial endeavors, it has brought more pain and suffering to people throughout history than it has salvation.

Witch trials, Spanish Inquisition, Crusades...the list goes on and on.

Take into consideration the colonization of North America and the missions that came with it. The stories of how they basically terminated a lot of Native/Indigenous culture is staggering.

How did they accomplish that? Oh right through some of the most brutal means possible.

In Europe they literally sent children, actual children, to battle for Jerusalem during the period of the Crusades, which was such a colossal waste of human life.

A mutual DM’d me and shared some positivity about this topic and I think it’s important. Facts are important. And things in life are often not all good, nor all bad.
