An FBI report approved for release the day before the #TrumpInsurrection painted a dire portrait of dangerous plans, including individuals *sharing a map of the complex’s tunnels* and possible rally points for conspirators to meet in KY, PA, MA and SC and head in groups to DC.
I strongly suspected that these traitors got maps to the tunnels. The Capitol tunnel system is complex, and it’s easy to get lost (take it from someone who knows these tunnels well).

On Friday, the head of the FBI’s DC Field Office, Steven D’Antuono, said: “there was no indication” of anything planned for the day of Trump’s rally “other than First Amendment-protected activity,” adding, “we worked diligently with our partners on this.”

In the days before the #TrumpInsurection, some Capitol Hill staff were told by supervisors NOT to come to work on 1/6, b/c the “danger level would be higher than a lot of prior protests,” but Capitol Police didn’t take typical extra precautions—frozen zones & hardened barriers.
Unlike 1/6, the FBI recently issued a different memo warning that “armed protests” were being planned “at all 50 state capitols” and in DC in the days leading up to @JoeBiden’s inauguration.
