THREAD: Saw Chuck Norris is trending so I wanna take this time to talk about a REAL, LEGITIMATE BAD ASS DUDE who we all really should be giving our attention and accolades to. And who might that be? Friends, let me introduce to you the one and only Dolph Lundgren
First off, Dolph is real smart. Like genius level smart. He holds both a degree in chemical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology AND a masters degree from University of Sydney. He’s ALSO a Fulbright Scholarship from M.I.T.
Dolph never completed his studies at M.I.T. because he decided he wanted to become one of the biggest and most bankable action movie stars during the 1980s.
But yeah, he's REALLY SMART. In fact, he speaks 6 languages - he’s fluent in English, Swedish & German and is proficient in Spanish, French & Japanese as well
But being a tough guy isn't an act with Dolph. Dolph is a veteran of the Swedish Marine Corps which is somewhat the equivalent to their version of the Navy Seals.
Also Dolph is a TRUE karate champion, having studied since age 10, he was a member of the Swedish team from full-contact karate world championships in Japan in the 80s. he also won two European Championships & a Australian Heavyweight tournament during the 80s.
ALSO, Dolph is an actual pentathlete, and served as the team leader for our U.S. Modern Pentathlon team for the 1996 Summer Olympics.
There's a story that once, 3 would be robbers broke into his home, tied up his then-wife and threatened her. In the middle of it, one of them spotted a family photo and realized who her husband was; they immediately fled the scene.
Finally, lest we ever forget, dated the one and only Grace Jones for many years after having been part of her security detail.
