2/ So where do we go from here? Some say the window for retail investing products is over. I disagree. Robinhood's dominance marks the beginning of a new generation of retail investment products.
3/ The new gen focuses on insights, membership, social connectedness, gamification & are women-friendly.

The retail investing mindest is spreading, & it's not just equities. It's trading cards, fine wine, vacation homes, streetwear, and other lifestyle assets turned investments.
4/ Millenials and GenZ expect more. The consumerization of investing leads to better UX, and the investmentization of commerce will lead to stickier, repeat brand ambassadors.
5/ What about a bear market? Yes there will be one and yes retail trading volumes & share of wallet will decline.

However a new gen of investors will remain sticky (equity participation relatively steady last few decades, +/ 7% ), & consumers will choose new types of platforms
6/ The investing mindset persists b/c investing is about more than thrills.

Investing gives people hope for achieving the American dream, for breaking the 9to5.

We might not get 300% returns in 6mos much longer, but stocks have averaged 10% YoY since forever.
