• Lower Notes / Chest Voice :
I was genuinely, and pleasantly, surprised when I noticed just how nice Jungwoo’s lower range is. It’s so clean and gentle to the ears, yet very strong and solid. There’s no sense of struggle or straining in his voice. It’s very natural sounding.

• Higher Notes / Head Voice
I would say that Jungwoo sings in his head voice, as that seems to be his natural placement for his voice, however, there are certain notes that truly stand out and really display his control and range. His high notes just feel so dreamy and soft.

• Shifting Vocal Placement :
These few moments are what really display Jungwoo’s impressive range in my opinion. There’s something about hearing a vocalist go through these different sets of notes in different ranges so beautifully and smoothly.

• Personal Favorites :
This one is slightly longer than the others because : 1) Jungwoo’s vocal color is just so, so pleasant and really adds something special to the songs he’s in 2) He doesn’t have as many chances to shine, so when he’s given the opportunity to he does it.

Aside from concert clips, Jungwoo really hasn’t shown us his vocals alone, whether it be through covers or solo projects. However, despite the little resources to pull from, I have found some things to use!!

• I hope we’re able to see some solo projects from Jungwoo in the future! His voice is very lovely and I hope he’s able to showcase it more in future NCT projects as well. He’s only been in NCT for two, almost three, years now. I’m excited to see what else comes in the future!
