Aska is the name of a famous agricultural town in Ganjam district of Odisha where Binny had their sugar mill as early as 1824. Madras Presidency too had its

factories by Binny- Bandepallioum factory was opened in 1842, Kallakurichi in 1843, Nellikuppam in 1846. The company was founded as Binny & Co in 1797 by John Binny, in Madras, who later set up Buckingham mills and Carnatic Mills, then amalgamated them in late 1880s
