Thread: Twitter is a platform for sharing information. Like facebook it is not evil, just a digital platform. However, please do not rely on twitter for World News. There are no checks on info posted. It can be a place for sharing good things, it's also a petri dish for lies.
In these times when it seems there is disorder and chaos fears can be stoked by lies and half truths and the lords of misrule love disinformation. Don't be lazy. Investigate, question, challenge. There are so many ways to do this now.
I grew up without the fear of smallpox or whooping cough, but aware of the dangers of blind trust as my generation were the children whose mothers were given thalidomide.
I'd rather not have a vaccine. I would rather we weren't experiencing a self induced pandemic. So I will receive the vaccine because I think it my civic duty to do so. Not being vaccinated risks the lives of so many health workers. It's not about individual, but collective good.
What I would like is for humans to assess what brought us here.
