Did You Know?

Sardar Bhagat Singh was inspired by many personalities and he always talked about them.

He asked his comrades to read their works and their biographies.

It included Shri Krishna and Bhagwat Gita, Veer Savarkar and many other personalities.
A young Sikh patriot Kartar Singh Sarabha was also a source of inspiration for Bhagat Singh.

Kartar Singh was born on 24th May, 1896 in Ludhiana.
He was sent to Berkeley for higher studies at the age of 16 where he joined Ghadar party.
Ghadar party was founded by Sohan Singh bhakna. He had learnt using handguns and other weapons.

He also wrote actively for The Ghadar Magazine.
In 1914-15 they inspired thousands of people to join the rebellion against British from Punjab and across India and abroad.
People like Rashbehari Bose, Har dayal also joined them.

Their movement started showing effect. But some British imposter informed the police about their meeting.

Kartar Singh was hanged in 1915 along with 42 members of his party.

He was just 19 years old that time.
Though he died but his short but large life inspired many youths including Bhagat Singh.

Today Sikh need to look at true heroes like Kartar Singh Sarabha.
Sat Shri Akal 🙏🙏🙏
