Yep- there are always variants of viruses out there. When they copy themselves they make mistakes and POW you have a slightly dif virus. Think of it like dif in puppies in a litter. (1/3)

Now B117, aka the UK variant, in early modelling and data appears to be much more infectious. It’s different enough to bind to human ACE2 proteins better- how it gets into a cell. Take heart! It’s not deadlier AND the vaccines stop it.

This means mask wearing, hand washing and distancing are just as effective against its spread!
The longer a virus goes unchecked, the greater chances for mutations are (Think how much a puppy changes!) so it’s critical to get everyone vaccinated. Science!
