I love podcasting because it creates a connection with your audience that other marketing channels dont. No one is reading your blog posts while they clean the house or go for a walk -- but they are listening to your podcast.
Podcasting creates an opportunity the other "marketing" channels don't. And the real ROI on creating a podcast is not the leads you can generate or the downloads (even though I used that as social proof above).
The ROI in podcasting is the audience connection *and* that a podcast can be a trojan horse for you to create so much more content: transcripts turned into blog posts; clips chopped up for social; takeaways turned into email copy.
