Maybe just maybe when we saw how conspiracy theories flourished after tragedies like 9/11 and Sandy Hook and disinformation really hurt people we should have done something.

These people have been emboldened for decades.
A lot of people turned their heads. It was cute. Edgy. Harmless. Hell and maybe... chem trails, right?

And those families... they could take it. They’re fine.

No. We couldn’t. And we’re not fine. Which is why we tried to tell you.
Facebook allowed the “Sandy Hook Hoax” page to stand + gather members for 6 years.

The nodisinfo web page was up with mossaud crap about my husband for years. I don’t even know how to spell it.

Twitter still has no option to report disinformation.

They’re all culpable.
I watched those folks approach our first responders. Hang an effigy of our then Governor. Question our school board. Come to our town and terrorize residents after 26 people were shot at an elementary school.

Part of why they got away with it is because they were white men.
My husband would have been killed going to some community doing that same thing.
