Admittedly, it's a strange time to be releasing a book. When we scheduled the release day months ago, we coudn't have imagined the state of current events and how deeply we'd each be affected by it.
That said, I'm confident it's a message that still bears relevance to the world we find ourselves in.
In #AskYourDeveloper, I celebrate developers -- the unsung heroes, often under-appreciated and underutilized and a great untapped resource -- and helps businesses understand how to embody the “ask your developer” mindset within their organizations.
As every industry shifts to digital, the builders of digital solutions - software developers - are more important to a company’s success than any other part of the workforce.
The problem? Most business leaders do not know how to attract, retain and motivate developers -- failing to unlock the full potential of these critical teams.
I believe that companies are locked in a Darwinian struggle. The ones that figure out how to unleash their developers to innovate will thrive. The ones that don’t will become obsolete.
