The hardest part about encouraging others to make content is that at some point, you can't help any further. You can give them all the help, but it's up to them to get started. I want to see everyone succeed, but babying folks with knowledge can create unhealthy dependence.
All I can offer is a few directions to start researching or encouragement to keep at it. The rest of that journey is up to the creator. I barely have enough time in my life to relax a lot of the time, let alone check every new piece of content or stream.
Which is why I tend to zone out when folks start spamming their content at me or coming into streams and telling me about how they stream. I appreciate their efforts, but folks should focus on perfecting their content, rather than spamming it or talking about it.
Spamming YouTube videos or going live links in multiple discords does barely anything. That time is better spent reviewing your content and researching. Learning how to thumbnail and title or watching how other creators do their work.
It often reminds me of this analogy. Say you work at a fast food chain, you wouldn't go to another restaurant and ask them how they make their fries or how they should market their product while they're trying to do their job. It prevents them from serving their customers.
And besides, everyone's content and workflow is different. Spend the time to find your rhythm and stick with it. Starting out is rough, but being consistent goes a long way. Don't get disheartened after 2 videos, keep going. Keep researching, don't let yourself stagnate.
Stopping after 2 videos or streams will do the opposite of what you're trying to do. Look at the bigger picture: every video and stream contributed to overall growth. Especially videos with the right titling and thumbnails. The more videos, the more viewership. Growth needs flow.
I will say, absolutely talk to other creators or streamers, build friendships and relationships. But, don't expect them to grow your channels for you. That's your job.
Right now, I absolutely hide users who try to promote their videos on my channel. I'm not a directory for getting free views. And folks who try to tag me in Videos or Live posts on Twitter. I will be muting those moving forward.
