The white men you see below are similarly generated images. A number of Ethiopian Twitter users have started using AI generated faces on Twitter to influence & sway people to one political camp or the other. If suddenly, a strikingly attractive and seemingly young, vibrant Twitter account emerges & goes straight for the kill...tweeting about divisive political subjects, there's a chance that it's a fake or a farmed out bot. I mean...good looking people like to post selfies & stuff!

Yes, the likes of @Lindarefugee are fake, although there is no use of an avatar face in that account. Be alert. Let's not be played. There's an attempt to sway you, influence you and change the way you think. Before granting someone your ear, do the first thing: a Google search.

One more example. This account ( @Brian_Higgz) has also amassed a large following of over 6,000 almost entirely Ethiopian Twitter followers. Very new account, the "researcher" tweets exclusively about Ethiopian affairs.

A western based/bred researcher...but all searches of the name and photo link back to the Twitter account. A researcher affiliated to no universities or no institutions. And yet the account enjoys considerable influence over Ethiopians and some Eritreans.

The reason why this is important, is because if your source of info is a nameless faceless bot...tomorrow when that bot may mislead or trick you...you have no one to demand accountability from. https://twitter.com/Mohas0/status/1348866051417788416

If someone has no credibility on the line...he/she may not make as sincere an effort to remain ethical and/or calculate the danger of certain tweets. Don't subscribe to someone who won't answer for his/her blunders.
