If you’re wondering if your partner treats you right just know this: My fiancé yelled in our house once and I flinched. He never yelled again. Its been 3 years of no yelling. We never even discussed it, he just saw that and stopped.

You deserve that too.
We don’t “fight” we have really sad discussions.

If something happens and we hurt the other person’s feelings inadvertently we say sorry within ~48 hours. Once he said sorry for thinking something mean abt me all day & he felt like saying sorry even though he never said anything
He is the gentlest person I’ve ever known.
Reading some of the replies to this broke my heart.

I really wish people were kinder to the people they love. Also, so many of us had really loud dads & I wish we didn’t have to live through that. For the men anxiously wishing their wives were also less abusive: I’m so sorry.
