Child services will take children away from parents because they’re too poor to raise them, then pay foster parents an average of $39,000 a year to raise them instead. Why not just give poor parents $39,000 a year?

Foster parents replying “yes but that money is for the child!” Ok and where’s the money for parents every month just for having a child? I’ll wait????
“Wait kids don’t get taken for poverty they get taken Bc ____reasons directly linked to poverty____” how many rich kids do you know in foster care? Shit how many middle class kids even?
“That’s not the only reason kids get taken!” Obviously not but raise your hand if you grew up in poverty and have been harassed by social workers at home and in school and still have trauma even if you didn’t get taken 
& those of you crying that I used zip recruiter, go ahead and Google “average pay for foster parents US” & find me DIFFERENT numbers, or look at comparisons state by state. Then go ahead and log off
