Varuna (Sanskrit: वरुण) is the chief deity of the Adityas: the one’s who uphold divinity and moral laws. Adityas are the sons of Aditi, the deity presiding over Punarvasu. Varuna has immense healing powers and the ability to give life.

Empty circle symbolizing this nakshatra is what I like to call a FORCE FIELD. Force fields are energetic substances that protect/enclose and individual from external influence. Shatabhishas create this force field and wish to have control of their surroundings as best as possible

I’ve noticed with this Shatabhisa natives they tend to do things because they feel like they have to, not necessarily because they want to. When it’s time to get out they are confused as to how to achieve liberation because they are stuck in this contaminated force field.

In the KDRAMA “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” Kim Minyoung, (Shatabhisha Sun) plays Kim Miso, who wishes to quit her secretary job after 9 yrs because she felt a DUTY to Lee Young Joon who was clearly self absorbed but can’t imagine work/life without her.

YoungJoon was played by PBP native, Park SeoJoon. (I’ll explore EGO and PBP another time) Anyways, she wants to experience real life, date, and get to know herself. But because she was so committed to her job she got trapped.

I’ve watched a documentary on her on Netflix called “Evil Genius” quite the spooky tale. She murdered one of her significant other’s and claimed self defense but then it was proven it was her impulse as she murdered several other of her boyfriends.

The reasons she would kill her boyfriends is because she couldn’t control them. They would say no to her or want to break up and see other people – So she isn’t sure how to properly end the situation so she ends up becoming a murderer. (extreme)

She also was one of the masterminds behind the “Collar-Bomb” incident where an innocent man lost his life due to their greed.

This is a negative trait we see in Shatabhisha. Varuna is often looked at as the God of Sin.
In the Netflix Show “THE SINNER” Shatabhisha Sun native, Jessica Biel, plays a Cora who feels her husband is demanding and his mother is invading their personal family life.

She signed up for a marriage to him and a life with their child, not all the extra baggage that came with it. Cora is bottling all these feelings inside, allowing her husband and his mother to impede on her force field.

One random day at the beach she impulse kills a man because she is triggered by this man forcing himself on his girlfriend for an innocent make out session. Triggered because she felt in her life this was happening. Didn't know how to properly express her true feelings.

Tasha Smith, Shatbhisha Sun & Merc, is notorious for portraying roles where she is IN CHARGE and INTIMIDATING. Don’t hate, she just knows what she wants. But you can tell there is not much thought or consideration when she expresses. Mercury helps her follow that impulse.

On the more wholesome side to this nakshatra: Bheshaja Shakti – The power to Heal and Support. We have The most influential First Lady, Michelle Obama. Shatabisha Moon. Known for her various efforts in the youth to inspire them to go to school, maintain & form healthy habits,etc

Where in Dhanishtha, we can be more materially focused and shallow & Purva Bhadrapada we can get lost in our potential to the point of debilitation. Shatabhisha, with the power of Saturn & Rahu can inspire people just from their life experience.

Shatabhisha is quite selective with the people they allow into their circle. They don’t let just anyone get close to them even for the sake of being nice. In “Cheese In The Trap” Shatabhisha Moon Native, Kim Go-Eun, refuses to let her “Senior” (선배) get close to her.

Earlier in the plot he had played mind games with her (would help her and then pretend she didn’t exist) so she noticed that behavior and took note. Eventually she realizes his advances were genuine and they end up together.

She struggles in the drama to ever ask for help and is always self sufficient which is what Saturnian folk are widely known for.

Shatabhisha is an impulsive nakshatra. Sometimes the impulse can lead to victory and other times unfortunate situations. As long as they calculate all factors before making a commitment they can avoid disappointment. They enjoy being alone but sometimes isolation consumes them.

These natives shouldn’t restrict their desires but embrace them internally. Inviting people who have patience and are non-judgmental of their nature. This is a Rakshasha (Demonic) nakshatra – So they are into Taboo things!
