Tips for designing Genshin Impact OCs : A thread
First of all this is just how I think it out, ur oc can be whatever you want it to be, this thread is just be helpful :)

Consider where ur character comes from, most characters will dress in fashion from their culture. If the character doesn’t wear the exact piece of clothing, shapes and details can be pulled out of the clothing (mondstadt charcters often have corsets similar to the German drindl)
Do u think you have enough ornamental trim on you character? You don’t!!! Add more!!! (Tbh the more details the more it looks like an actual character lol)
Lastly, it’s best to have an overarching motif for your character. It can be simple like Kaeya’s snowflake motif, or it can be more complex, like Xingqiu’s wave motif.

Razor’s design is an excellent example on how to design without a specific culture in mind.
