Amazing recommended products based on what I learned from various skincare junkies and dermatologists on Youtube and my own experiences especially for oily or combination skin.

Oil-cleanser: Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm by Farmacy. First step in double cleaning. Use this first on dry skin if you’re wearing makeup or sunscreen. Use at night only or when removing makeup
Cleanse: Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave Beauty or Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser. These two are good non-stripping cleansers that won’t strip away your skin moisture and skin barrier.
Toner: Dear Klairs Unscented Supple Preparation Toner, Haru Haru Wonder Black Rice Toner, I’m From Rice Toner. All are hydrating toner. The later 2 can also help in brightening. Try as best as you can to avoid astringents such as Witch Hazel toner.
Essence: I’m From Mugwort Essence for Acne prone skin.
Vit C serum : Melano CC serum for brightening.
Chemical Exfoliants (AHA): Kale-lalu-yAHA by Krave Beauty. It contains Glycolic Acid to help remove your dead skin, increase skin turnover and help with hyperpigmentation. Use only at night.
Chemical Exfoliant (BHA): 2% BHA Liquid or Gel by Paula’s Choice. This is great if you have blackhead problem as it goes into your pores to clear it from gunks). Use only at night!
Moisturiser : Cuura Aqua Boost to lock in moisture. @cuuraofficial
Sunscreen : Beet the Sun a.k.a The Beet Shield by Krave Beauty
Retinol: The Ordinary 0.2% Retinol in Squalane. Anti-aging and helps to combat hyperpigmentation too. A very mild retinol if you’re just starting. Increase concentration when you feel you need more and can tolerate stronger retinol.
Another alternative for retinol is Paula’s Choice 1% Retinol Treatment. This is a much better formulation but a bit expensive. Use this at night only.
Notes: Try as best as you can to avoid using physical exfoliants such as scrubs (eg. St. Ives, Freeman etc) or cleansing brushes as they may cause micro tears on your skin if used harshly.
Try using chemical exfoliants instead as they are much gentler to your skin than physical exfoliants despite their name. If you already have some scrubs at home, use it on your body.
If you love physical exfoliation too much, use brushes with gentle bristles or even silicon bristles like Foreo etc. Use it gently on your face.
That’s all for today. I don’t have flawless skin but I have been learning A LOT baiut about skincare these past few months to help improve my skin. Hope this list will help you guys too
Oh lupa. Tambahan. Kalau korang ada masalah hyperpigmentation or banyak bekas jerawat, you can add Azelaic Acid to your routine! The best one would be from Paula’s Choice but if you’re on a tight budget, get one from The Ordinary!
