Let's have a look at professional football US stadiums vs professional football Europe stadiums. In the US, we put these things in a sea of empty parking, in Europe, they're in neighborhoods

In the US these areas just sit empty, next to noisy highways. In Germany, they're next to a forest!

Soccer stadiums in London are the neighborhood's team. In the US, the fans come from way far out and we "tailgate", essentially admitting there isn't anything interesting to go to around the stadium

The US has even improvised and tried to fake in these town squares next to stadiums. But when your team plays in the middle of nowhere, how active is that space minus the 8 days a year there is a game?

In the US, these teams are so unassociated with their neighborhoods, sometimes they just pick up and leave.

Minnesota's is near downtown, not too much parking visible, next to a river, but sadly, next to a highway. Arsenal FC play on one of the last stops on the London Underground, and more people live near it than the Vikings one.

St Louis skipped town too, leaving this huge city block vacant. When Arsenal moved a few blocks down into their new stadium, they turned the old one into condos

Never a more lifeless hellscape than Arrowhead Stadium in KC. All these stadiums from the US got either half or all of it subsidized. In London, they don't give you a cent
My last fact is this. London has about 15 clubs in the top 4 levels of professional football and moves 380,000 fans any given Saturday or Sunday during games. How? They have great transit and clubs are in dense, walkable areas for fans
