As I think about improving myself in 2021, it seems clear that my information diet will matter just as much as my nutritional diet.

Some steps I'll be taking:
Unfollow a lot of people on Twitter.

I joined Twitter many years ago when my interests, goals, and judgement were very different. Time to realign who I follow to what I care about learning today.
Delete all saved Pocket articles.

Who are we kidding? We will never read all of our saved articles and open tabs. Conquer your FOMO and clear the slate.
Delete Twitter from my iphone. Replace it with curated books and articles.

I doubt I will eliminate my addiction to checking my phone. Instead I will stock it with nutritional info instead of sugary feeds.

It's like putting water bottles in the vending machine.
Create an intentional reading list for 2021.

There are only so many books I can read before I die. I want to spend less time on the books that seem interesting in the moment, and more time on books that will challenge me and invigorate my actions.
Create a separate email address for newsletters.

I love newsletters. But they don't belong in the same queue as all my other email.

The best part of this separate queue is it clearly marks newsletters as optional reading. I can delete all when I get overwhelmed.
