WHY #CrashLandingOnYou IS A PERFECT OR ALMOST PERFECT DRAMA IN ITS GENRE(S)

I know it's late, but I don't care. IT'S ONE OF THE BEST DRAMA IN ITS GENRE AND WELL DESERVED!

I'm the kind of person that get impatient with certain dramas, SPECIALLY ROM-COMS. And knowing how picky I am, loving this drama this much, IT'S SOMETHING TO APPLAUSE!

#CrashLandingOnYou is a drama written by Park Ji Eun, who also wrote #MyLoveFromTheStars and #TheLegendOfTheBlueSea, which are really popular dramas, but to be honest, they were not a big deal for me. And that's why I had my doubts.

To be honest, I was really excited becuase of the leads #SonYeJin and #HyunBin coming back and also becuase of #KimJungHyun who had a comeback after being ill. BUT MY DOUBTS CONTINUE.

I decided to give an opportunity to #CrashLandingOnYou becuase of my curiosity. AND I'M JUST SO GLAD THAT I DID IT, BECUASE IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST WATCH, IMMEDIATELY!

There are certain things that made me love it this much:
1. THE GOOD USE OF ITS GENRE.
When it comes to rom-coms, the balance of the genre IS THE MOST IMPORTANT. Becuase when a drama is this long, with episodes of more than 1 hour, it's easy to get tired (+)

#CrashLandingOnYou has such an amazing use and balance of romance, comedy, heartwarming and heartbreaking moments. The right amount of all of them so the length of the drama doesn't bother. (+)

#CrashLandingOnYou stayed loyal to the genres they want to highlight and didn't go around or deep with side plot that they would leave incomplete. THEY USE WHAT THEY HAVE IN THEIR HANDS AND DID IT AMAZING!

2. THE USE OF TROPE WITHOUT FOLLOWING THE USUAL PATTERN.
This drama has the rich guy, but also the rich girl, it had the second lead but not to bother the main leads, it had the rich parents but not bad ones. And also, ALL LEADS ARE STRONG CHARACTERS. (+)

I've said this before, TROPES WILL ALWAYS BE WELCOME, THEY JUST HAVE TO BE WELL USE AND I'M IN!

PD: YES, Even if I complain a lot about it, I LOVE ROMANCE, they make me feel like vomiting rainbows, crying, forever alone and smiling like a idiot.

3. NO EXCESSIVE USE OF THE VILLIANS IF IT'S NOT NECESSARY.
If there is something that I hated before in this kind of drama, is the excessive use of villian when it's no necessary. In rom-coms, villian are use to support the leads. (+)

In the case of Jo Chul Gang, that's why we doesn't feel uncomfortable with him, because they don't go too deep on his character to leave it incomplete, they give us the right amount of villians.

As you all know, the plot of #CrashLandingOnYou is simple and silly, AND IT STAYS LOYAL TO THAT UNTIL THE END. IT SHINES IN ITS SIMPLICITY AND POWER FROM THAT.

Clichés? All dramas will always have them, but DO YOU SEE THIS? little but valuable moments like these and special characters are what make A ROM-COM UNFORGETTABLE AND SPECIAL TO ME. I'M SO GLAD THAT I STARTED TO WATCH #CrashLandingOnYou, BECAUSE I JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH.

And also, let's talk about this, it's difficult for rom-coms to make the viewers care about other stories apart from the leads. But then they gave us Seri and Jung Hyuk adoptive sons, and Seri's friends! WHO SUPPORTED AND STAYED LOYAL TO THEM!

STRONG FEMALE LEADS!
Se Ri and Seo Dan are so strong and they are not afraid of saying their feelings and thoughts, being right or wrong. But being strong doesn't mean that they don't have their vulnerable moments.

We can see how strong Jung Hyuk and Seung Jun are when it comes to their personalities and attitude, but it was use in an amazing way, it was not use to overshadow the female leads, it was use to support them.

First of all, THIS JUST LOOKS EXPENSIVE! There is such a balance between #HyunBin and #SonYeJin, LIKE, IT'S THE SAME AMOUNT OF POWER. NOT OVERSHADOWING. Jung Hyuk and Se Ri were made for them.
