The reported political ‘pause’ by @Citibank, @jpmorgan , and @Facebook is deeply offensive and worse than doing nothing. Instead of holding the guilty responsible, their decision to treat the guilty and innocent the same is the type of political calculus that led us here.
Most cowardly and despicable is Facebook, who is unwilling and unable to confront their role in fostering the hatred that led to this action.
Treating @senatemajldr, @SpeakerPelosi, and @lisamurkowski exactly like they would @SenTedCruz , @GOPLeader and @HawleyMO is a slap in the face. This is only going to incentivize more seditious behavior.
I’m proud to call many hardworking JP Morgan employees my constituents. Sadly, I know many of them have to be taking a hard look in the mirror and questioning the wisdom of the decision-makers at their company because of these revolting actions.
To those constituents - know that my office is here for you to provide you with any assistance you might need as our nation tries to heal from this, despite their employers’ best efforts.
Finally, it's now more clear to me than last week that @Facebook cannot continue to operate with their current leadership team in place. Mark Zuckerberg, @sherylsandberg, Joel Kaplan, Monika Bickert, Kevin Martin, and @guyro should all resign immediately.
It’s especially appalling they were able to move so quickly to enact a policy that treats conspirators and the innocent the same, while they can’t seem to respond to a single oversight request from my subcommittee on time.
