Another tremendous team effort by @AneurinBevanUHB Vaccination Team last week. Over 15,000 vaccinations given since start of roll-out of programme. Teams are delivering as quickly & safely as vaccine becomes available: 1/
We received first delivery of AstraZeneca vaccine last Monday which has enabled us to deploy mobile vaccination teams to vaccinate in care homes for older adults. 2/
13 GP Practices on board during first week of receiving AstraZeneca and delivered vaccinations to care home residents & adults aged 80 years and over. 3/
Residents in 36 care homes for older adults have been offered vaccination over the last 6 days. Over third of homes in JCVI priority 1 group completed in first week by our mobile teams and GP Practices. 4/
We have vaccinated staff working in 63 care homes for older adults at either the Mass Vaccination Centre or by the mobile teams. 5/
We opened our second mass vaccination centre in @CaerphillyCBC. 6/
Our mass vaccination centre in Cwmbran continued to operate 12 hours a day, 7 days a week to vaccinate residents aged 80 years & over, frontline health care & social care workers. 7/
We were joined by military staff who have supported both mass vaccination centres and will continue to work as part of the vaccination team to roll-out the programme. 8/
