I should say it *helps* open the door, as there is significant overlap between the GOPers spreading election conspiracy theories and blocking climate action.

It also signals that future corporate donations will be evaluated with much more scrutiny — both by internal and external stakeholders. This is good for the environmental movement as our efforts to date have been greatly outspent.

And it means that accountability and transparency are driving trust & reputation now more than ever, giving activists more leverage. So like I said, this windfall of corporate announcements is a big deal.
