My two long term plays in the cannabis space: $GRWG and $SSPK

After much research, they are the best pick and shovel plays imo

$GRWG - largest supplier of hydroponic equipment, soils, nutrients, and lighting fixtures for indoor growing

What exactly is hydroponics? It's the method of growing plants without the use of soil. Instead, the plant is grown in a nutrient-water solution. Many indoor growers prefer this method as it can maximize yields, save space, and speed up growth

Some of things I like most about it:
- Triple digit top of line growth (can continue to increase due to incoming administration)
- Profitable
- Active M&A strategy that has and will continue to increase their POS locations

- Preanounced 2020 revs. Same store sales up 63%
- Raised 2021 rev guidance from $335 mil to $350 mil
- Projected number of garden centers in 2021 to increase to 55

A common question regarding $GRWG: do they have a moat? What is stopping $HD or $LOW from taking over market share?

Simple answer: they do not have a moat and nothing is stopping the big players from entering the market. This being said, cannabis growers may be inclined to stick with $GRWG given their speciality and expertise in the space

On a recent earnings call, $GRWG President Michael Salaman noted that $HD and $LOW have not made an effort to enter the market, yet

I did some digging and found out that $HD already sells hydroponic gardening equipment. $LOW does not

Personally I'd like to see financials improve - valuation is a little extended but understandable due to impressive results. Net income and gross margins could see improvement as well. If they can develop their moat that would a plus as well

Lastly, private labeling and wholesale e-commerce distribution (if regulated) could be catalysts for even higher growth
