I find these videos of folks crying after being escorted off planes to be completely infuriating. They believed, with every fiber of their beings, that nothing would happen to them. That they could continue to participate in the peaceful society that *Democrats* have maintained.
When Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election in the electoral college, despite ample evidence of interference of various sorts, and her Presidency being the will of the majority, we marched for women and got. to. work. PEACEFULLY.
The whole time the Right has been inciting violence against us. Shooting people, blowing things up, deploying the military on US soil, installing unpopular SCOTUS justices against vast public outcry, and generally demonizing us as radical and dangerous at every turn.
And now the GOP leadership wants to call on US for âunity and healingâ?!!!!? Thatâs what weâve been doing the entire time!!!! Preserving institutions and holding this situation together. And yâall know what!?!? They *depend* on us doing that.
They break the rules, and laws, and norms, and abandon principles so freely because they *know* we want unity and peace and healing. They donât actually want to wreck our society...they just donât want to do any of the work of preserving it.
