People keep asking me why things ended with the last guy I was dating. I’ve been quoted calling him a good man so there’s confusion as to why if he was such a “good man”, things didn’t work out. Respecting his privacy, I won’t share full details but I feel I need to share this.
Just because someone is good, does not mean they are good FOR YOU.
Even if they are good for you, does not mean the timing is right for y’all to be good to each other.
Even with a good man, y’all have to want the same things. Even with a good man, y’all have to be aligned with each other’s love languages. Even with a good man things can turn bad if y’all don’t agree to love each other the way y’all want to be loved.
It’s things that I want he was not ready to give me. And I was not willing to wait. That doesn’t stop the person from being good just because you were unsatisfied. That just stops y’all from being compatible.
Even with a good man, y’all have to be compatible or it will start to feel like he’s a bad man because you’re feeling like something is missing.
The problem is women stay with good men just for the sake of them being good. We stay with them far past the realization of us not being compatible with them until the resentment grows because the relationship is not changing in the way that you want.
He and I agreed before we started to deal with each other that the minute it started to go south, we would call it quits. Because I’ve been hurt by a lot of men he didn’t want to be like them. And I have hated almost every ex and he didn’t want to be one of those that I hate.
I could never hate him. In fact I love him. But just because you love someone, just because they are a good person, that doesn’t mean it works. That’s how your love for them turns to hate & you start to see their goodness as bad. If it don’t work it don’t work. Don’t force it✨
I’ll end this thread with this clip of the goat. Listen to the og’s sis. Don’t spend years feeling unloved✨🧘🏾‍♀️
