Monday morning reality check:

#1: Jesus cannot and will not be confined to a national identity or political ideology.

#2: America is not God's chosen people. The Church (which Christ has opened to people of all ages, nations, and races) is God's chosen people.

#3: The future wellbeing of the church in America does not rest in the outcome of a presidential election.

It rests in the hands of Jesus, who is before all things, and in whom all things hold together.

That is where I choose to place my hope: In Jesus, who promised that not even the gates of hell would prevail against his church.
