Thread on GW18 WC advantages:
18-19 will be the only back to back big blank and double. With 4 teams having fixtures in both and Spurs having a blank fixture and a great single in 19, I think this could be the perfect time to pull the trigger.

By tripling on City, United, and Spurs, Fulham GK, Burnley defender, you can easily field 11 for the blank and 12 doublers plus triple Spurs for the double with bench boost. Or you can get players like Wilson or Saka who have good fixtures in the blank and great singles in DGW19.
City and United have fantastic fixtures after the double and while Spurs have a mixed bag after they play Brighton and West Brom in 2 of the 4 weeks following 19.
GW 26 and 29 will also be big blanks and doubles but if you have FH you can plan for just one using FT and FH in the other. Since you aren’t bench boosting in 26 it shouldn’t be difficult to do this.
Additionally, the 26 double may not be great for the bench boost anyway with many of the big teams having European matches sandwiched around the games, a problem you won’t have to deal with for BB 19.
If you don’t have City/United players plus if you have injuries like DCL or non playing bench fodder, I think this all puts WC ahead of FH for 18 since you’ll still be stuck with issues in your 19 squad.
Smaller blanks and doubles can be more easily planned for with FT and by benching 1-2 key players. Having full 15 of playing players which you’ll need for the bench boost is actually a good idea for the whole remainder of the season considering all the unexpected postponements.
This of course brings up the biggest downside of this plan which is if fixtures get postponed during 19 for the bench boost, but that appears to be a risk whenever you play it. Anyway, I hoped this helped inspire your thought process for the short/medium term.
