#WeWontTakeLoans because there are a huge number of genuine reasons that we should not

@ukcag @EOCS_Official
@LeedsCladding

Not exhaustive list of reasons 👇

#WeWontTakeLoans because we have been betrayed by decades of failed building regulations
#WeWontTakeLoans because this "is a direct result of total regulatory system failure + a construction culture that is rotten to the core as the second phase of the #GrenfellTower inquiry is now showing" as @team_greenhalgh has said

#WeWontTakeLoans because we are the innocents
#WeWontTakeLoans because the construction industry is known to have cut-corners in some developments with regards to Fire-Safety for the sole purpose of profit

#WeWontTakeLoans because we live in a country where we punish the perpetrators not the victims
#WeWontTakeLoans because we have endured enough living in unsafe homes

#WeWontTakeLoans because we are already paying through the roof for interim fire safety measures & hiked insurance premiums

#WeWontTakeLoans because we already have lifetime loans, called mortgages
#WeWontTakeLoans because not all of us can

#WeWontTakeLoans because this scandal has put our lives on hold for long enough

#WeWontTakeLoans because our basic human right to adequate & affordable housing is being violated

#WeWontTakeLoans because that will destroy our future
#WeWontTakeLoans because no attempt has been made to legally force those responsible for this national crisis to pay

#WeWontTakeLoans because that will seriously devalue our properties

#WeWontTakeLoans because we won't be bullied into paying for this gross systemic failure
#WeWontTakeLoans because we are LEASEholders, who don't own the buildings where these historic safety defects are

#WeWontTakeLoans because it is immoral, unfair and unjust

#WeWontTakeLoans because hiding behind archaic leasehold law is unconscionable - you can change the law
#WeWontTakeLoans because @LKPleasehold has proposed an appropriate solution which secures private sector funding, so the innocent leaseholders and tax payers do not have to pay

#WeWontTakeLoans because we shouldn't have to

#WeWontTakeLoans because we deserve compensation
#WeWontTakeLoans because @GOVUK have said time and time again, that we shouldn't have to pay

#WeWontTakeLoans because some leaseholders (who'd want us to continue fighting this grave injustice) have:
- gone bankrupt
- lost their homes forever
- heartbreakingly committed suicide
#WeWontTakeLoans because we can't afford to

#WeWontTakeLoans because with over 3.5 years to resolve this issue, Mr Wade's proposal to saddle the blameless with huge lifetime loans is a complete insult to the 72 innocent people who tragically lost their lives in Grenfell Fire
