Ofsted says textbooks and worksheets can be effective for remote learning. Also, while teachers should monitor learning, this can be automated. (And can trick pupils into thinking the teacher is watching! 😼)
But, they do say that every school should have some kind of online platform. And feedback to pupils is important. So there are suggestions on how to do it.
