This is an important question for researchers, journalists and many of us who have not monitored large amounts of info.

1. Take regular breaks. Walk, swim, exercise. Disconnect completely.
2. Beware of echo chambers. These form quickly, without noticing. So seek out discomfort https://twitter.com/jsrailton/status/1348494204205490176
3. What we do is important but think of it as a marathon not a sprint. Ensure rest, resist the boost from a success, push down the ego. None of us is irreplaceable and yes our work matters but not at the cost of us.

4. Remember to think collectively. That’s the point and purpose
5. Remember the echo chsmver. They form quickly, are reflective of both structural exclusions and our own unconscious biases. Actively out diverse, difficult, chalkenging voices

Appreciate @jsrailton asking this. Takes intellectual courage and rigour. Bon chance with your work
