So, the Indian army 'visited' our neighbourhood, this morning, at around 7. They seemed pissed, were running around. Bit odd, so we were terrified. They imposed a virtual curfew here and ordered us against roaming outdoors.

We kept peeping out of our windows to see what's up, but couldn’t quite decipher their movements.

A while later, they barged into a couple of our next-door neighbours' houses, kicked them out in the freezing cold with the snow still on the ground.

Men, women, children (including an infant) and a couple (or more) senior citizens stayed there in the cold for over an hour, without anything to keep them warm, except their clothes. The army, still in their houses, looked everywhere, threw things...

...around, randomly, before coming back out, still angry.

They then went on to grab a few of our neighbourhood boys by their necks, and beat them up (a few slaps followed by a kick or two) - without any reason, I must add. Silence followed, but was soon...

...broken by some muffled cries. It was the 17-year-old boy from our neighbourhood, surrounded by 10-odd army men. He was asked to partially strip and fill his undergarments with the snow on the ground. He obliged. Once he was done stuffing himself up with...

...the snow, he was asked to put on the clothes he had taken off moments ago. Truth be told, he looked like a giant rice-bag with all that snow under his clothes. Next, the army men floored him and kicked him for a while before calmly walking off.

10-minutes later, they were gone, and things returned to normal.
