My two pennyw’th on Starmer. Ok I don’t expect ‘rejoin’ from him, I see that. I can live with the vote for the deal, but I can’t fathom what I see as a lack of even basic acknowledgement of the rump of pro EU, non xenophobic voters in his support. It feels all wrong.
I mean deep analysis of his ‘motives & strategy’ is all well and good, but for me - ‘Ordinary Joe’....Pro EU / Anti Tory person without a bloody degree in politics or time to analyse every move ....what do I think ?
Also whilst we are about it surely this is so much wider than the EU. By voting for ‘the deal’ rather than abstaining when he clearly could have and not impeded the bill passing, I felt KS made a clear statement about his views on the Union
