- When a new follower comes in, I say thanks for following, but then I also ask about their day with OPEN ENDED QUESTIONS (e.g. not just 'how are you?' but instead 'what did you do today?')
- I try to have some pretty cheap and easy channel point redeems so even newcomers can make me do something. It's nice to have a few under 300 cus that's the points you get for following a streamer
also less than 250 is good too cus you get 250 for joining a raid.

- I personally like to make my emote unlock channel points cheaper because I want anyone to be able to use my emotes! It can help them feel like they belong in your community more. I don't like to think that people have to sub to unlock my emotes.
- I know it can be hard but TRY to remember usernames! Say them out loud when you can! That way, when someone returns to the stream for the 2nd time, if you say 'welcome BACK' instead of just 'welcome' or 'hi', they'll feel more valued cus you remember them from last time

- I don't always do this cus it CAN disrupt the stream a bit but when I get raided, I introduce myself and try to show raiders my best works of art I've drawn or maybe even sing to dedicate a song to the raider and raiders if I can

- it can be tiresome to do, but try to fill in people who just came into the stream about anything exciting or funny that happened earlier in the stream, ESPECIALLY if there's now an 'in-joke' that came out of the previously occuring events. It helps people not feel left out

- Also just to add on to the open ended questions point, make sure to ask follow up questions otherwise the convo dies. Even ask the rest of chat about the topic at hand! e.g. someone said they had pancakes for breakfast. ASK CHAT WHAT THEIR FAV BREAKFAST FOOD IS AND WHY!!
- OKAY SOMETIMES WE NEED TO PEE OR GO AFK. Instead of just leaving the stream and having the viewers sit there awkwardly waiting for you, tell them to answer something in chat while you're gone! e.g. write an acrostic poem for TWEE or tell me the nicest thing you've ever done.
TELL CHAT TO DO STUFF! e.g. if someone subscribes/gifts bits. You can say stuff like 'CAN WE GET A POG IN CHAT FOR _______? THANK YOU!' again, it's about the audience being able to participate in something together as a community no matter how small

- encourage viewers saying hi/bye to each other! Sometimes you're too busy to read chat and someone will say hi/bye. Instead of them saying hi/bye and leaving thinking no one cares, I love it when one of my viewers greets first if I can't so that person knows someone cares

UH that's all I can think of for now
please feel free to add any other tips you've found works well in the replies! I'd love to hear them and learn too! á( ⢠⿠⢠)á If I think of more, I'll delete this tweet and add more to the thread HAHA
