I’m so glad she didn’t.
I hold the unpopular opinion that Brandy, Fantasia, and Jazmine don’t need to make gospel albums.
Anointing and soul are more interchangeable than most people think.
Not to mention, the genre doesn’t know what to do with the SANGERS they got now. There are plenty of vocalists like Jazmine in churches we have never heard of and with artistry that is begging to be groomed. THAT voice and THAT artistry doesn’t sell tho... so....
Forcing someone with a soulful ass voice to dampen their artistry only to NOT sell sounds fucking horrible.
