I received a DM from a follower who asked me if I could write a thread on how to get started with affiliate marketing.
This is how I do it, and it works pretty damn well.

First, find a product that promises to solve a problem you have or teaches a skill you would like to learn.
Purchase the product and consume the information.
Spend a minimum of 2-4 weeks executing the strategies.

Assuming the product is good, you should start seeing results within this period.
If the product sucks, repeat the process until you find a course you can fully get behind and support.
Your enthusiasm will shine through in your marketing.

You could compile a guide with a clear headline such as:
FREE GUIDE: How you can [GET RESULT] in [TIME IT TOOK YOU TO GET RESULT FROM PRODUCT]
EX: How to Get a Girlfriend in 3 Weeks
Deliver it to your subscriber in exchange for their email.
FREE GUIDE: How you can [GET RESULT] in [TIME IT TOOK YOU TO GET RESULT FROM PRODUCT]

Deliver it to your subscriber in exchange for their email.
In the guide, you should talk about your desire to have a girlfriend.
Talk about the struggles of not knowing where to begin.
Talk about how you decided to try online dating.
Talk about the problems you faced with setting up a profile.

Talk about how you never knew what you should say in your first messages to women you found interesting.
Then at the end of your guide, you talk about how you discovered [AFFILIATE PRODUCT]
Talk about how everything changed.
Pull bullet points right from the sales letter

The second email should hammer the EMOTIONAL BENEFITS of the product and paint a picture of how good the reader's life could be with the product.
Drop your link at the end, encourage them to buy if they haven’t already.
The third email should take a LOGICAL approach.

You should give facts about how many single women are using dating sites.
Talk about the percentage of people who find love online.
Mention the best times to message women online or pull a small tactic from the affiliate product.

The fourth and final email should be FEAR-based.
Hammer the pain points and pour salt on the wound.
Remind the reader of just how awful their situation is and assure them that the solution is only a click away.

The next step is getting traffic to your landing page and collecting email addresses.
You can do that by promoting your guide in tweets, blog posts, Quora answers, etc.
Or you can set up a FB ad and drive paid traffic directly to your opt-in page.
