Black Diaspora relationships are so hard and exhausting

1. Some food is acquired taste

2. Foods from powerful countries have decades of marketing and proliferation in the market

3. Food is a reflection of culture and African culture is theorized as inferior and disgusting
So like try not to take it personal if people don't like your food. I promise it's structural not personal (even though it hurts)

being Black is a basis of dehumanization but being African is the foundation of that dehumanization. we were dirty and disgusting.
While other ppl in the Black Diaspora have the option of coolness (even though this isn't liberation and amounts to appropriation, dehumanization)

The specific basis oh Black shame, savagery and backwardness is based in the construction of Africanness
Everyone try and remember there are probably more positive interactions that we have with each other.

But the negative ones are magnified because it hurts more 🤪
