Finished FOTME;
I felt very proud of seeing certain characters overcome their personal conflicts and it served well in fleshing out characters like Schierke, Farnese, and Isidro. Gut’s progression was what I loved the most, the changes to his character are not stand out-ish but..

settle differences like his demeanor, how he feels a level of responsibility and protective over the group compared to the lone mercenary he was in the beginning who did not give regard for others and wouldn’t even bat an eye to innocents getting executed is beautiful. 2/5
It explores deeper into his psyche and the stirring emotions towards Griffith; from armor turned monster w none of his sanity left is a personification of the rage and violence he feels towards Griffith. Now my gripes w this arc is that Casca remained the same, her temper.. 3/5
towards Guts makes me mad
Some characters in Gut’s band progressed, some were left behind and while I don’t think everyone needs to have progression I preferred it if they were given more spotlight. The emperor was alright, his ambition was dumb. 4/5

When the narrative switched over to the Band of Hawk I didn’t care for any of them except Griffith. This arc still peaked for Gut’s and his friends, I love seeing their journey and where it’ll eventually lead to. 9.5/10
