What I love most about this thread is that while language is improving, certain disabled people like to stick to terms theybare familiar with and its mentioned and inferred that thats okay.
If you are not disabled, you don't get that flexibility. https://twitter.com/mustangsart/status/1348306049397358593

Example: I have a poem called Cripple Swag. A popular one when I did open mics. That poem does not need its title changed cause its about me and I can call self crippled. My right as a disabled person. Don't call me crippled though cause I will assume you are being rude and will
just block you. Don't do it. (Personally if referring to my poem in its fill title I dont mind)
Example 2: My autistic bestie uses the term 'Aspergers' to describe her experiences. Her right. I stick to autistic because while I am nuerodiverse, Im not dxed with ASD (I have ADHD)

Endless reasons disabled people can use whatever language they want, but for all the ableds: refer to the original thread from OP. OP made a good thread so go read it and then re-read it.
Also, disabled people: Keep the original thread in mind too. We can also be ableist
