We've just had an assault on our Capitol. One of the most severe intrusions of the Capitol since the British invaded during the War of 1812 and burned it down.
FBI Director Wray nor David Bowdich, the deputy director in charge of operations at the bureau, has held a news conference where reporters could ask questions. Neither has Jeffrey A. Rosen, the acting attorney general. Neither has John Demers of DOJ National Security Division.

Two prosecutors from DC, including Ken Kohl (of the Flynn case), spoke with reporters on Friday along with the top agent in the FBI Washington Field Office. They answered a few questions for about 30 minutes from select reporters. I was not one of them.
I can think of a few people I would like to question: the head of counterterrorism (CTD) and the head of domestic terrorism operations (DTOS) at the FBI and the chief of the counterterrorism section at DOJ.

Why aren't the people entrusted with protecting this country at the podium every day answering hard questions about the "siege of the Capitol" as Director Wray described it in a news release. Let that sink in. The F.B.I. director said there was a "siege of the Capitol."
